Cup 1 - calcium chloride and baking soda
the water got fizzed when we put or add water in cup 1. The gas that has fizzed are called carbon dioxide or co2 for short. The color is like milk and the smell of it is really bad. When we left it for a bit. The baking soda sank to the bottom of the ground. it covered the base of the plastic cup. We call that a precipitate.
Cup 2 - calcium chloride with citric acid
When we added the water, we didn't see the gas bubbling but we did hear the fizzing sound of that carbon dioxide gas. The color didn't change much at all. It was exactly like pure water. The temperature of this mixture is not cold neither hot. It is the room temperature. Cup two is really, really different from cup 1 or cup 3.
Cup 3 - baking soda and citric acid
This cup was very cool. The mixture cause a smell that really interested me. It was the smell of the yummy, tasty drink that is called ....... 7 up!!! The color also looks like that soda. When we fist add the 50 ml of water in to that mixture, we were really surprised because we have never seen any mixture that had that much bubbles. It's like when you shake a gallon of cola and it explodes. And again that gas is carbon dioxide
